MI-JOO LEE .

Mi-Joo Lee started her career after winning prizes at the Brussels "Queen Elisabeth", the "Viotti" (first prize) and the Tokyo International Competitions within a period of a year and half. 

Since then she played concerts and recorded for radio stations in many European, Asian, and American countries.
Besides her activities as a soloist, Mi-Joo Lee also plays chamber music - increasingly in a piano-duo team (two pianos and one piano-four hands) with Klaus Hellwig.

Already as a child, Mi-Joo Lee was awarded many prizes and appeared in concert and on television. She later studied in Essen, Berlin, Boston and Salzburg and participated in courses with Guido Agosti and György Sebök. She graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts with the concert exam, and the International Foundation Mozarteum awarded her at the end of her studies with the Lilli-Lehmann-medal for outstanding artistic merit.

Mi-Joo Lee teaches at the Berlin University of the Arts since 1990 and held master classes in Austria, France, Spain, and Korea; she was a juror in various international competitions : Munich ARD-Competition, Busoni-Competition, Geneva, Vercelli (Viotti), Pinerolo, Taranto, San Marino, "André Dumortier" (Belgium), "Piano music of the 20th century" in Orléans.
